With Egypt family holidays becoming more and more popular there are many first-time visitors to the country out there, this article looks at several top attractions of the country for many who know very little about this fantastic country and its ancient record.

Topping the list, and the the one which many people will recognise, are the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. These impressive monuments have found signify much of what the outside world sees when they presume of Egypt, and for reasonable. The pyramids form thousands of tombs on the entire world, their perfect peaks rising up in the sky. The Sphinx is somewhat more of an enigma, with archaeologists fighting to this day over its purpose.

Next on the list, another old structure, are the marvelous temples dedicated to Ramsis II and his partner Nevertari. The temples were built in the idea they could grant growing old and they're some of the most beautiful types of ancient structures in the country. The other truly exceptional story behind these structures is they were moved in their whole in the late 20 th century to avoid water damage in the area they were formerly located.

Going on, and its another icon of Egypt, is the mighty river Earth. It is not only one of the lengthiest and major rivers in the world but it also makes for a fantastic cruise experience! The Nile has recently been at the heart of Egypt for thousands of years, with ancient sites set all along the entire river. The water also houses an great quantity of life, along with its impressive history, and you could see everything from the fantastic bird life to sleek Nile crocodiles.

Subsequent up, and many of the sites you can visit from the river, is the beautiful Valley of the Nobleman. This sacred valley properties the tombs of the Pharaohs and for this reason has some of the most incredibly decorated structures in Egypt. Inside the tombs many fantastic treasures have been learned such as famous mummy Tutankhamun.


Finally we have a more modern jewel and it's the countries capital, Cairo, a fantastic centre of culture. Cairo's a place you wouldn't want to miss and luckily most journeys to Egypt will feature a while in the capital. The city is crammed with fantastic markets, outstanding culture and amazing background. The city also features several fantastic museums that help enrich any journeys you could be thinking of making to the ancient sites
