An Egypt Holiday break Experience

Our best getaway yet should be our Egypt family vacation last winter
It had been freezing cold in the united kingdom and the assurance of the sunshine and a lttle bit of little relief from the dark evenings was amazing. But Egypt vacations, as were to learn soon, offer a lot more than a medication dosage of winter sunlight.
We arrived in Cairo, a motor car filled, chaotic city pitted with covered bazaars and edges, solid with rubbish and heating, and characterised by friendly local people and aggravating questions of what we wish to buy. Our hotel was somewhat associated with an oasis then: smooth and white with a gleaming pool and a great deal of space to feel serene in. however the madness outside beckoned.

We tripped from our first day to start to see the great pyramids of Giza. Outside metropolis just, they stand majestic - a testament to man's design and early on civilisation - and almost totally incongruous against the present day slapdash skyline. We ceased by the Egyptian museum, again just a little outdated for the extraordinary treasures included within. Like everybody else, a beeline was created by us for Tutankhamun.

The very next day we going out to start to see the young pharaoh's tomb in the Valley of the Kings. This is similar to it. From the chaos of the town, this breathtaking site is outstanding. Huge in range, you might feel just like an explorer, wandering midst the high pillars and hieroglyphics of the magical place.
But my abiding overall recollection of the trip and the key reason why our Egypt family trip was one of my favourites, was our felucca quest across the Nile. A felucca is not really a cruise but a normal wooden fishing boat, long and slim long with an individual deck without cabins which sit and stay watching the world pass.
During the full day, you observe another part of Egypt, a smaller seen side, from the vacationers and frantic city life. We found farmers maintaining the fields, looking forward to the floods to ebb and stream as they may have for years and years. We found smiling children waving, approved into arid desert past serene night out and oases hands. As night fell the sky exposed into a million stars. Brighter and even more brilliant than simply about anything I've seen before. And we drifted along the fantastic river and slept like explorers on deck. An excursion for both mums and the small children!

Ruler Tutankhamun's Tomb - Luxor - Egypt

Ruler Tutankhamun (King Tut) was your young Pharaoh who succeeded his father Akhenaten on the end of the 18th Dynasty. During his short 9 year regulation he restored Thebes (Luxor) as the Capital of Egypt and started the return of worship of Amon. Little was known of the King other that he came to a sudden end.
Egyptologists were not considering finding his tomb as they assumed it would have poor content. At the time it was decided that Valley of Rulers had yielded all its' tombs. Lord Carnarvon a wealthy Englishman thought in a different way and was convinced that there was an in one piece tomb.
Howard Carter, going up Lord Carnarvon's Group and worked dedicatedly for six seasons. Approximately two hundred, 000 tons of debris were moved, and Howard Carter was forced to accept that there were no more tombs found in the Valley of the Kings. There was one last remote probability, the website immediately beneath the tomb of Ramses MIRE. It was covered with workmen's huts and Carter had his men remove them.
In 1922 the door of a burial place was bought at the bottom level of some steps. The seals appeared to be intact and Lord Carnarvon was informed while formulations were created to start the tomb. After they joined the tomb it considerably exceeded their wildest dreams.
We can only think about the awe and amazement on finding the treasures now seen in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Lord Carnarvon attended the opening but never existed to see the full contents of the burial place. The death of Master Carnarvon was attributed to 'The Pharaoh's curse - a sting from a mosquito.
The tomb was small but packed with furniture, statutes, charms and a wealth of pieces that where meant to be employed by the Full in his after life. Carter spent 10 years cataloging the contents and recorded 171 objects in the first room exclusively. If he made a tiny opening in the door of the tomb holding chamber, there appeared to be a great wall of platinum. It absolutely was an enormous platinum gilded shrine with 3 other shrines layered inside. In the center was a stone sarcophagus and three mummy coffins. Normally the one holding King Tut's remains was solid gold and weighed 2, 488. almost 8 Ibs.
The mummy itself was covered in rare metal objects, bracelets, chains, training collars, gold beads and necklets of treasured and precioous stones, engraved scarabs and garlands of flowers. A solid gold mask protected the head. The particular inner mummy case, which contained the actual mummy of the Pharaoh has been left in the tomb itself. The recovery of the treasures are now displayed in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
The tomb is the actual found in the Area of the Kings the first chamber measuring eight x 4 meters with bare walls. The small second annex contained pots for oils, baskets of fruit and seeds, wine beverages jars and pottery, all decorated in alabaster, african, turquoise, gold, lapis-lazuli and Ivory. Them in this chamber were bare.
The burial chamber itself is the only one with decorated walls. The works of art of religious scenes and inscriptions are in excellent condition retaining the brilliant colors of the days and nights they were painted. Right now there are full-length figures on three of the wall surfaces beneath a dark colorful roof which represents the sky. The figures show up top heavy which is characteristic of the Amarna period. Another wall has representations from the E book of the Dead.
For what reason were there so many treasures in the young King's Tomb and why did it appear that they were in total disorder rather than put in a tidy style? This can be quickly explained. Tutankhamun was the last of his family line wonderful tomb was filled with family gifts as well as his own. Many of the pieces were taken from the royal Temples of Tel El Amarna. To get example the priceless noble throne on display in the Egyptian Museum shows King Tut being anointed by his wife with a background of the Sun God Aten, the symbol of his dad Akhenaten's heresy. Tutankhamun completely renounced his father's instruction but carried the emblems to his grave with the artifacts left in his tomb.
A lot of the glazed vases and sceptres plainly belonged to his dad's reign. Some of the funerary objects were proven to have happened for Semnekh-Ka-Ra, Akhenaten's son-in-law and co-regent. This included one of the larger shrines, some of the mummy ornaments and the mini canopic coffins.
This is a sign that the tomb was used in a hurry because of this of the King's sudden loss of life at a young age group. It is clear the there was clearly no time to finish the tomb. This is unlikely if it is ever going to be known exactly if the King died accidentally or was murdered. Seems like from forensics carried away that he likely perished from a blow to your head.
If it is proven that the young Pharaoh was murdered, it raises another question regarding who was guilty? Was it his tutor Attention, who probably married his wife after his loss of life. Or was it Standard Haremhab (Horemheb) who desired the throne and grabbed it from the blue-bloods at the outset of the 19th Empire? We will likely never know.

Akhenaten - The Heretic Pharaoh

Akhenaten was Pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt from approximately 1353 to 1136 BC. Details of his reign are very sketchy because most records were destroyed at his death and his mummy has never been found. As a child, Akhenaten was outcast from his family. It is indicated that he suffered from a genetic disease that damaged the body's connective tissue, leaving him quite tall and misshapen. He never appeared in family portraits and was never seen at public events. He was also not in line for the family throne until the untimely death of his older brother. Akhenaten's reign began sometime shortly after the death of his father.

Egypt and New Religious Views

When Akhenaten took the throne, Egypt was at the peak of its glory, abundant with riches and secure in its power and prosperity. Polytheism reigned and temples to many Gods were built along the Nile. Religion had even become the business of the day. Akhenaten, however, attempted to introduce new religious views and center worship around a solitary deity named Aten. It does not appear that his attempt to change the religious habit patterns was successful. After his death, Akhenaten was discredited and the previous religious practices were restored. For these reasons, Akhenaten is sometimes referred to as The "Heretic Pharaoh."

New Views of Art

In addition to religion, Akhanten also introduced an entirely new style of art. Previously, representations of individuals had been stylized and portrayed with perfection, whereas the new style of art focused on naturalness and fine detail. People were portrayed as they were in their everyday lifestyles with scenes of the time period. Akhenaten even had himself portrayed as less god-like and more human.

More Recent Clues

Although the primary archival records of his day were destroyed, Akhenaten remains an interesting historical figure. Some clues to his reign were discovered in the 19th century, at Amarna, the new capitol Akhenaten built in honor of the god Aten. When the tomb of King Tutankhamun was discovered, interest increased as it is thought he was the son of Akhenaten. In addition, the bust of Akhenaten's wife Nefertiti is one of the most famous and exquisite pieces of art surviving from this time period.

Akhenaten Continues His Religious Revolution

Akhenaten is an earlier incarnation of the ascended master known today as Lanello, the ascended master name of Mark Prophet, original founder of The Summit Lighthouse. Recently ascended, Lanello remains close to his chelas and those who knew him during his final incarnation in the 20th century. Lanello continues to lend his guiding hand through dictations delivered through the messenger David C. Lewis. In a heartstream delivered on April 30, 2009, he said:
May the Spirit flow through your being. And may the discernment of spirits, that by God's grace I was privileged to know as one of the gifts of that Holy Spirit, be yours each and every one, if you would have it. Know it and utilize this sacred gift to truly know all that is acting within the realm of your domain moment by moment. For thereby you will always be attuned to the voice of the Spirit that speaks; you will always know through this divine faculty what is acting within your world and the worlds of those with whom you work and communicate and live. And by this level of cosmic discernment your pathway will be clear and cleared for you by that Spirit of comfort that knows no bounds except the very edge of the cosmos itself.
I am one magnanimous heart. But I would multiply myself again and again through yours such that all life would know the eternal bond of this sacred brotherhood, whereby all hearts truly beat as one. Bless you. Live in sacred love for one another always.

THE RETURN OF THE MUMMY - The mystery of Tutankhamun's death finally solved

THE RETURN, OF, THE ,MUMMY, - The mystery, of Tutankhamun's death, finally, solved
The remains of King Tutankhamen
The riddle of the death of King Tutankhamen is she finally resolved? A team of British researchers think I found the key to the mystery - the death, in Cairo, the archaeologist Lord Carnarvon, after discovering the tomb of the pharaoh, in 1922, had contributed to thicken.
The Independent reported on the work done by the team of researchers who have worked to uncover the causes, hitherto unknown, of the death of the young king in 1323 BC, at the age of 19 years old. A documentary on the subject will be released November 10 on Channel 4.
For the record, the theories about the circumstances of the death of Tutankhamun are many. The latest dated evoked a seizure, malaria and bone disease. The thesis defended by British experts from the Cranfield Institute of Forensic (center of scientific and technological research)? Tutankhamun would have taken the brunt of a cart, which would have broken his ribs and crushed heart. This is why, unlike other mummified kings, this organ is absent from his tomb. To support this hypothesis, the researchers uses crash-test specialists to perform virtual simulations.
But the researchers did not stop there. They also claim that the mummification of Tutankhamun was completely botched. This would explain the charred aspect of the mummy. According to them, the body has burned, but because of an amazing phenomenon would have occurred within the sarcophagus. "His body actually entered the burning shortly after his funeral, it is a real discovery," enthuses Chris Naunton, Director of Egypt Exploration Society (archaeological research center).
In reaching this conclusion, Robert Connolly, an anthropologist at the University of Liverpool and a member of a scientific team that went to X-rays the pharaoh's remains in 1968, examined with forensic archaeologist Matthew Ponting, one end epidermis recently found on the bones of the pharaoh. According to the two men, it is the contact between oxygen, flaxseed and oils on the body that caused the chemical reaction, burning the body of Tutankhamun at a temperature of over 200 ° C.

Faith curse aroused the attention of many people because of the mysterious deaths of some members
of the team, Howard Carter and other prominent visitors to the tomb after that shortly. Carter's team opened the tomb of Tutankhamun (KV62) in the year 1922, thereby unleashing new era for Egyptology. The work of the famous Egyptologist James Henry Breasted with Carter shortly after the tomb was opened for the first time. How informed that Carter sent a messenger to eliminate the need for his home. On his way back to his home, he thought he heard a voice like a faint cry of a what, when he saw the arrival of the entrance bird cage occupied by a cobra, the Egyptian monarchy code. Canary Carter died on his mouth and that's what fueled the local rumor of a curse. Transfer Arthur Weigel, former Inspector General of the Egyptian government for the effects that this was explained to Carter's house stormed by the same royal cobra that protect the king's head to hit the enemies on the same day to break the tomb of King .. reports of this incident reported in The New York Times on 22 in December 1922, the first cases were mysterious death of Lord Carnarvon. Has been Baawwadh bite, and later while he was injured shave sting place accidentally. He then became infected, where it led to blood poisoning. Two weeks before the death of Karnavon Marie Corelli wrote a fictional letter to the New York World Journal, which cited a quote from a mysterious book he asserts that "terrible punishment" will be attached to the sealed tomb Bmguethm. This was followed by a revolution in the media, with reports that the curse is found the tomb of King, but this is not true. Arthur Conan Doyle's character Sherlock Holmes author, suggested that time that the death of Carnarvon occurred because of the existence of "elements" and put the priests of Tutankhamun for the protection of the royal tomb, and this contributed to the increased media attention. Arthur said that before six weeks of the death of Carnarvon seen laughing and jokes when he walked to the tomb of the king, and he saw to say to a reporter nearby (e. P. Murtan) "I am I will give him six weeks to live," I found the first autopsy of the body of King Tutankhamun by Dr. Derry scar tissue Mmeltima on the left cheek of the king, but since the Carnarvon had buried six months of this before it was not possible to determine whether the wound site at King identical with the deadly mosquito bite in Carnarvon. In 1925, anthropologist Henrifeld visited the shrine accompanied by Breasted and pointed to the kindness of Wood Carter. He also reported how a paperweight given to a friend Carteralsar Bruce Ingham of mummified hand with wrist bracelet and carrying Cursed be he that moves my body mark. You should come to him fire, water and epidemics. After receiving the gift shortly, Ingram burned house, then followed after that flood when it was rebuilt. Howard Carter was quite skeptical curses. He has been in his memoirs, "strange", adding that in May 1926 saw the jackal of the same type of Anubis, the keeper of the dead, for the first time in more than thirty-five years of work in the desert. Skeptics pointed out that many of those who visited the tomb or helped in the discovery lived a long and healthy life. The study showed that among the 85 people who were present when the tomb was opened and the coffin, only eight of them were killed in ten years. The other was all alive, including Howard Carter, who died later due to lymphoma at the age of 64 in 1939.

Possible explanations

Some people predict that there is a potentially deadly fungi planted in the closed cemeteries were released into the air when it opened. Preferably Arthur Conan Doyle this idea, and is expected to fungi have developed deliberately to punish thieves graves. While there is no evidence that these pathogens have killed Lord Carnarvon, but there is no doubt that there are hazardous substances accumulate in the ancient tombs in. However, in the concentrations usually causes serious illnesses only for people with weakened immune systems. It showed taken air samples from inside the coffin slots high levels of formaldehyde, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, and these gases are all toxic, but has been easily detectable by strong scents. Hydrogen sulfide discoverable at low concentrations (up to 100PPM) which serve as a nervous factor on the sense of smell, the (1000ppm) capable of killing a person for the first inhalation.
